To every student sitting with a browser full of tabs, a heart full of ambition, and absolutely no idea where to begin —
I know exactly how you feel. Because not long ago, that student was me.
I wanted to study abroad. I had the grades. I had the drive. But every time I tried to understand the process — the universities, the deadlines, the SOPs, the scholarships — I hit a wall. A wall that wasn't built by difficulty. It was built by people who were being paid to keep it standing.
Consultancies quoted fees I couldn't justify. The "guidance" they gave was shaped by which universities paid them the most commission — not what was right for me. I wasn't confused because studying abroad is hard. I was confused because someone was profiting from my confusion.
That moment — sitting there, overwhelmed and overcharged — is exactly where Abrovia was born. Not in a boardroom. Not on a pitch deck. In that feeling. That specific, silent frustration of a student who just wanted a straight answer.
I'll be honest, I almost talked myself out of it more than once. The thing that actually pushed me to stop overthinking and start building was watching Manas Shukla walk out of IIT Delhi to go chase his own path. No safety net, no guaranteed outcome — just a decision to bet on himself. I didn't have a clear roadmap either, but seeing someone I respect do that made the whole idea feel less reckless and more necessary. He's our Chief Advisor today, but really, he's the reason I stopped waiting for the "right time."
I am not a businessman building a company. I am a student who got stuck — and decided to build the platform I desperately needed back then. We are building Abrovia together. Every tool, every guide, every word on this platform exists because a student somewhere needed it and deserved it for free.
This is not about disruption. This is not about being bold. This is personal. And if you are a student who ever felt like the system wasn't built for you — Abrovia was built for exactly that feeling.
Welcome. We've been waiting for you.
HV Shuklaa
Founder, Abrovia — and a student, just like you.
